Interesting how over the ages kings have tried to usurp God's power. Of course they are dead and God is.

Christians should remember the part about God establishing and removing Kings. "good" and "bad". They will ultimately accomplish His own purpose. So we should toss aside the torn robes and heaping ashes and just get on with what we are here for - happy in the knowing He is in charge and the controller of all things. He KNOWS what is in the darkness - but is NOT the darkness, He is the light! Makes me happy to think of it. Pray for our rulers. Try not to be nasty. Haha. It's a struggle.

I used to be among a group of former members of our church on FB. One started to disparage Trump continually, it was as if she was reading the headlines from MSM. I would comment that we should be praying for our leaders, especially when we didn'teven try to look for good in any of them... She replied that she needed to get better at it and she stopped for a bit. Then Covid happened. Here I was in the south while the majority were further north... She posted a lie straight off of MSM about how wonderful the Governor of NY was doing handling elderly covid patients... I sent her a list of exactly what he was actually doing, part of which included sending the elderly with covid to nursing homes where they infected others...and they were all dying... She was stunned!

"We're in upstate NY and we aren't hearing about this! Oh my God! How could he!"

I filled her in on what Trump was doing...sending help via the hospital ship and Nat Guard to set up hospitals for patients. She was sickened at how little of truthful news they were getting. But less than a week later she posted a NYT "report" totally against all of the positive moves Trump was making to help NY. I felt crushed at how quickly she had turned around! I dropped out of the group. They immediately blocked me from contacting any of them....but enough was enough... It was beginning to border on insanity!

God does tell us to pray for our leaders!

So politics over God for the FB group. Oh the state of affairs of our American church (those that are Christian). In my WBS we start out every session telling people to keep politics out, but inevitably the lady that puts the note out about no politics (who is also one of the leaders of the group) will not shut her mouth about politics. I agree with her and it still pisses me off. We come together to worship and fellowship. I imagine you must feel similarly. It is so hard to find godly people to hang around with. In my state it is because the vast majority are either Mormon or CA/CO liberals who have no use for God or a savior since they don't believe in the concept of sin or evil.

You will find a group of women who love God and who are also seeking Christian fellowship. Try praying about it and then start having a look around. I only have a handful of lady friends who are Bible believing Christians and really only one who I trust to rightly divide God's word and to smack me around when I go sideways! It took me a while to find her. I will keep you in my prayers. Meanwhile, brush your shoes of dust and move on from those women. Glad you wrote me a comment.

I'm in a wonderful women's Bible study at church and our teacher has told us we aren't going to discuss politics, unless it's in or from the Bible. We are all of similar mind when it comes to politics nothing has come up lately.

I remember before leaving that FB group that most were buying into what was being spread via MSM and there was a heated discussion about how we as Christians should pray before casting our votes. One said she was voting for Biden because she didn't like the "mean tweets..." I asked her how she could argue for Prolife and vote the opposite. Her exact words were, "I'll work from the inside." I can't reach her now, but I'd surely like to know how that has been going... Meanwhile, I pray for them. Most are college profs, a hard position to be in as a Christian these days. I believe it showed me how quickly some Christians have been, to water down their faith when they're surrounded by opposing views...

That is terrific news because good Bible studies are hard to come by IMO.

I wonder how that lady is doing with her work from the inside. I used to say something similar when I was full of self delusion.. er... not at all wanting to give up the world and follow Christ. Someone was probably talking to Christ about me too. Bless that person.
