Love this. Reminds me of Frederick Douglass’s biography, where he actually had a moment of regret for learning to read and become educated. It was easier to be asleep and not recognize that awful situation they were in. But freedom does not that way lie. And he knew he had to help his brothers and sisters out of the darkness. That’s why we continue to fight.
