Definitely good news on the laws working through the legislature. Wish that would happen elsewhere, but FL has been leading the way quite a bit lately.

Also good news on Trump's visit provoking a positive government response. I'm not a huge fan of Trump the personality, but I can appreciate the good things he's done or caused. I can also have concerns about his giving in to excessive spending and promoting the pandemic response, and _still_ saying that the mRNA shots are wonderful. :/

As retirees we were making great gains in our investments during Trump. We are not rich but we are considerably less well off since Prince Poopy Pants began squatting in MY White House.

His spending created 5 trillion dollars in wealth. Please don't forget that. 1 trillion into 6 trillion. That's the kind of spending I like.

His spending? Giving aid to those in need? Refusing a pay check for four years?

OK - I'll correct that. Signing off on even more excessive government spending - especially during 2020. His personal spending is a different issue and he can do whatever he wants with his own money. I say the same thing about W and Obama when it comes to signing off on too much government, though. (And don't even get me started w/ the current admin's blank check policy.)

I can appreciate what you are saying Peter. I do disagree a bit. But I really appreciate the way you respectfully put it instead of denigrating Trump. Thank you

Nobody's perfect. I appreciate a lot of the things Trump pushed for and signed. But when I disagree, I'll also state that. I think he was in a no-win situation for the pandemic. He'd be roasted for doing nothing and roasted for the lockdowns. I do think he should have pushed back on the "big spending" bills that went through Congress, but I also tend to think that of every president.

I vaguely recall there were a couple of things Obama did/signed that I actually did agree with and was able to state so. It was definitely not a majority, but every now and then he did something that I could agree with. But as much as I'd agree more w/ Bush and Trump, I don't agree with them signing for the huge increases in spending and was quite sad that our deficit grew by so much under all of our recent leaders. :/
