Because letters are tossed if they are uniform--claim to be from bots--I changed mine:

“As a long time constituent, I urge you to cosponsor or at least vote for the WHO Withdrawal Act, HR 79.

The WHO’s new legally binding agreement, essentially a pandemic treaty, is scheduled to be adopted in May 2024. However, the White House will not seek required advice and consent of the senate before signing on.

There are several provisions to be avoided to protect US ability to govern and defend itself. Three of the most troubling points from the Zero Draft of the treaty, set to be discussed by the WHO starting February 23, 2023 are described below. You can find the document by searching for Zero Draft, A/INB/4/3, in a browser.

The WHO agreement would preempt all other international agreements. Chapter 1, Article 2.(3) states members can only make other agreements “provided that such instruments are compatible with their obligations under” the document.

The WHO would determine how we spend American tax dollars domestically. The draft requires nations to set aside a minimum of 5% of its health budget for pandemic prevention, preparedness, response and health systems.”

It also proposes a required percentage of gross domestic product (GDP) for “international cooperation” on pandemics. The US cannot comply with this agreement.

A “global compensation program” for pandemic vaccine injuries - There have been discussions of removing liability from manufacturers at a global level. This is horribly wrong and allows intentionally poor quality manufacturing in order to cut costs. Further, it mirrors the 1986 Act and the PREP Act in the US, which removed liability from vaccine manufacturers. The PREP Act’s CICP has left hundreds of thousands of Americans without recourse if they are injured by medical products, and this treaty would expand that to a global scale.

The World Health Organization is an unelected global body external to the U.S. When it makes mistakes or causes harm it cannot be held accountable. However, the White House continues to work to strengthen WHO authority and autonomy. In 2022, the Biden administration proposed amendments to the International Health Regulations (IHR) that would have decreased the proof needed for the WHO to declare an emergency, while simultaneously increasing their ability to make a declaration. Its monkey pox declaration is a case in point, and it was not remotely near a global emergency. The President has also embraced ideas such as vaccination passports through the Bali Declaration, which the majority of Americans oppose.

You and Congress must act now to stop the White House from tieing the hands of Americans when it comes to their health via WHO international agreements.

I urge you to cosponsor and/or speak out for HR 79. Communicate your constituents’ message to the White House to support the bill coming to a vote in the House quickly. Americans are watching the President, and your constituents are watching your actions and words.

Regards,
