Yes and I would enjoy that if I didn’t need to earn money as badly as I need to. Volunteering doesn’t pay our mortgage or buy us food. I’m not blessed with resources the way I should be at this juncture of my life, because of our economy and the tax laws hurting the lower middle class so badly. They never stop to think of the trickle effect, how it robs our society of those that could and would have volunteered more if their years of hard work and wise financial planning actually did what it was supposed to do. It didn’t. I need a paycheck. But I want my work to matter and support goodness not selfish greed.
Much easier to 'come alongside' an org that is doing just that. Volunteer your time or get enough education to be of use to them.
