Worship of the earthly mother of Jesus is not biblical but that detail does not matter to those who also believe in the infallibility of the pope.

TBF, the Romans would say that they do not "worship" Mary, merely "honor" her -- though to those of us on the outside it looks uncomfortably close to worship.

50+ Hail Marys vs 5 Our Fathers in each rosary is honor, not worship? I repeat: this is not biblical.

It is NOT worship. It is honor...In traditional cultures throughout history, the Mother of the King was always given elevated honor. Mary is the mother chosen by God to give birth to His Son, King of Kings.

I don't think that modern Americans can fully understand with their hearts, the amount of honor a son had for his mother in traditional cultures. A good son could never say no to a plea from his mother. Indeed. we see this at the wedding of Canaa in the New Testament.

Both the Orthodox and Catholics honor the Virgin Mary greatly as 'Theotokos', Mother of our God.

All prayers said to her are for her motherly intercession, and always lead us to her son, Jesus.

In all miracles and apparitions to saints, she leads the person to Jesus.

Catholics and Orthodox do not judge Protestants. despite the sola scriptura form of worship.

Why then are certain Protestants so judgemental of the worship traditions of those Christians whose worship to Christ predates them by millenia? Is this truly Christian and love of brother and sister in Christ. or self love? 'My way is the correct and only way'?

Countless Catholic and Irthodox Christians have suffered gruesome martyrdom for Christ. is this fair to them?

Do you think that all this type of denominational superiority mentality is good for the salvation of one's soul? Is there humility in that?

The greatest Orthofox prayer is a simple one:

' Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on ME a sinner'. 🙏✝️✌️

To answer your question about "why are protestants so judgmental", the answer is that, well... some are just people being people and opposing anything different from what they are familiar with. But others are critical because they have genuine concerns that some practices of the Roman church (or the Eastern church for that matter) may be either crossing the line into things forbidden by God, or at least leading to taking the focus off God and putting it elsewhere.

Of course, sincere protestants would acknowledge that no faithful believer is intentionally doing wrong on purpose; it's a dispute over who is right, not who is sincere.
