So, he appeared on Tucker Carson to talk about a song God directly instructed him to write called Revelation. I have no doubt this happened. But I think John stepped a bit out of the bounds of that calling to go on Tucker Carlson and claim a special understanding of theology, which apparently someone he bumped into in a proud vulnerable moment was happy to teach him. And it gave him some good talking points for the Tucker interview, although he admitted he wrestled with the idea of presenting them. That might have been the Holy Spirit trying to warn him that he might not be up to the task.
If this had been a theological debate, with say Jack Hibbs providing a counter argument to what John Rich was saying, it would certainly have been a better interview.
As it was, John thought he had discovered some scriptures never before read by Evangelicals.
Having been raised with that doctrine, I assure him he did not.
These Christians are very familiar with 2Thessalonians 2, Matthew 24, the book of Daniel, Ezekiel and all the Old Testament prophecies. They believe the second coming of Jesus is a separate event from the ‘in gathering’ of Thessalonians 2, which precedes it.
Speaking of Matthew 24; to Jesus all time is present simultaneously. He switches back and forth from present impending disaster to future. For example,
Matthew 24:15-17 “
Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand),
“then let those who are in JUDEA flee to the mountains.
“Let him who is ON THE HOUSETOP not go down to take anything out of his house.
Jesus is obviously speaking of those in Judea in that era, who will have to flee the attack of the Romans.
This is complex and complicated stuff, needing a lot of study. WHICH, John Rich has not had.
John seemed to say that the delusion sent by God was for Evangelicals, not unbelievers who refuse to repent. That was unfortunate. But I learned there is fear of Evangelicals. And I hope to come to understand that more fully.
And poor Tucker, if he really is being bombarded almost daily at his home (one imagines a multi million dollar mansion) by weird persons using numerology to tell him when Jesus is returning (Jehovah Witnesses?) he needs better security!
Great point! Carlson made 40 million a year working for Fox. He charges on his website if you want to see his interviews🤷♂️I suppose he doesn’t have enough🙄
A lot of people get lost with so much money…IMHO. I have known so many wealthy people and now they are gone via the jab. When you meet the Lord, you only take what you gave! And the two men that died…they were bitter with God and blamed him for everything bad for the path they took.
