How absolutely fascinating! I am beyond grateful to you for sharing your insight into one of the most excruciating difficulties we face as a species. Have you thought about speaking with medical professionals in your area and/or making YouTube/Rumble videos?

That never occurred to me, Stacey. I'm not sure medical professionals would take my insights seriously, since I have no background in medicine myself. I was just offering this anecdote here as an alternative way of looking at Alzheimer's.
This one sure does. I work with dementia patients frequently and I believe your experience will help me understand them more clearly. I can’t be the only nurse who would think so. They can’t relate what they’re experiencing (but they can often tell when they’re being written off), so your knowledge is invaluable. The best textbooks can’t take the place of experience. If you’re so inclined to give a talk, you probably have a local association of neuroscience nurses. They can help you prepare a presentation and maybe give you a bit of dinner for your contribution. 😊
I wouldn't know how to put together an entire talk on this experience from 25 years ago, but I'd be happy to discuss it further with you if you really think there's something there.

But thank you for the suggestions!
