No I talked to several lawyers and they were all every pessimistic about the whole situation. All of them said it was unlikely anything could be done since I didn’t contact them from the beginning. The one I was going to use was also expensive. I found a nurse advocate who worked for the Texas BON and helps nurses navigate the system and write rebuttals. If it goes to a jury trial I’ll have to find a lawyer but seriously I have no idea how they can hold me to anything they are claiming I did wrong! I have a ton of evidence in the documents. It helps that she is a nurse honestly because she understands the standards of practice etc. the investigator with the BON I have on my case now isn’t a nurse so she doesn’t understand what she is looking at. It will probably be pushed to a “nurse investigator and a board of nursing lawyer” and at that point they should see there are no legal ground to “convict” me of anything!
