No, not so much. Where I am there is one or two counties that vote blue leaving the rest of the state blue ruled. This is done because most of the Gen-Z workers/ voters in this urban area have been sold a bill of goods that socialism is the way to go and wealth should be redistributed and shared with all- even the mentally ill who are everywhere in our urban cores. I’ve been having this conversation with my oldest because he thinks that orange man is bad, that was until I pointed out that if we all share the wealth then the State will take his inheritance when DH and I expire and give it to the homeless to help them because they “need it”. Needless to say he is currently rethinking his position on social programs. All this to say several voters in this generation have been taught that tolerance (aka voting blue) above all else is kindness. It’s not.
