Happy Monday morning, C&C! Today’s roundup includes: Where in the World is Joe Biden?; Idaho legislators seek to make it illegal to give mRNA vaccines to anybody or anything; Bruce Willis won’t be back to acting anytime soon, after all; actor Tim Sizemore has brain surgery; coach Chris Mooney has heart surgery; FBI chief arrested for treasonous hi-jinx; East Palestine resident relocated; and the trend of apologies for pandemic conduct appear online and on TV.

🔥 What do you think about this? Here’s the humble, narrowly-focused title for my book: “Coffee & Covid: The Book; how small-firm lawyers, independent doctors, and soccer moms saved the world.”
The book would explain how the grotesque public health architects of the pandemic were baffled, and a horrible dystopian future was averted through the brave, unflagging efforts of a handful of solo lawyers, independent doctors and heterodox scientists. Which is all true, by the way.
I would focus on the main problem: big government, in the U.S. and everywhere else for that matter, has become morbidly obese, and one of the most worrisome symptoms is that it’s almost impossible to stop government now when it gets out of control. The self-correction mechanisms are broken.
This can easily been verified by the fact that during the pandemic, when the government malfunctioned badly and went right off the rails, most of the law firms and nearly all the institutional medical professionals had their hands tied and their incentives backwards. They were all captured, conflicted by any number of lucrative financial relationships with government. So they were rendered impotent and helpless to oppose the government, for fear of losing their grants, retainers, contracts, opportunities, and livelihoods.
There’s just too much government everywhere, and anyone with any connections these days is getting a piece of the action. So that when government goes sideways, they all have to go sideways with it.
Helped by battalions of previously non-political citizens like homeschool moms, a tiny number of experienced solo litigators and qualified independent doctors remained un-conflicted, and had the resources, the will, and the gumption to push back against the largest, most powerful world government in human history. They held the line until prominent establishment actors like Governor DeSantis got back up on their feet.
I could mine my my email archives, my contacts, the daily blog posts and comments, and my calendar, to explain just how close we came to crashing the plane and becoming mired in a permanent, global, and bizarre biomedical police state, but how we stopped it with just seconds on the clock — and what we must do to ensure it never happens again.
It’s a working concept. Let me know what you think. Is it too soon?
🗞*WORLD NEWS AND COMMENTARY* 🗞
🚀 For the first time since occupying the White House, Joe Biden is in Kiev today to show support for the war effort or something and hand over another $500 million dollars collected from American taxpayers. Observe the definitive awkward embrace, and consider what it represents metaphorically.
For once I felt sorry for president Zelenskyy:
Joe didn’t have time to stop by East Palestine. Ukraine was more convenient, because he can also check up on his various business interests there. Maybe he can stop by Burisma H.Q. and so forth.
💉 On Saturday, Forbes ran a completely fair and unbiased article headlined, “New Idaho Bill Would Criminalize Anyone Administering Covid-19 mRNA Vaccines.”
Of course, when I say “completely fair and unbiased,” I mean completely in the tank for big pharma and dripping with sarcasm toward anybody who questioned the Narrative.
The news is, two Idaho Republicans, State Senator Tammy Nichols and State Representative Judy Boyle, have co-sponsored HB154, which would make it a criminal misdemeanor to inject an mRNA vaccine into a human or animal in the Gem State.
So there! Idahoans, call or email your legislators to support the bill, even if it is a long shot. It’s good timing; the jabs aren’t likely to ever make anybody rich again. Let’s let the politicians in Idaho know what a popular issue this is.
It would be amusing, but I won’t bother slogging through the Forbes article’s faux outrage, except for quoting this one hypothetical question posed by the author: “If Nichols is concerned about what happened at the federal level with Pfizer and Moderna, why not address these companies directly rather than try to punish innocent health care workers?”
It’s a great question. The answer is: Don’t worry! We’ll get around to the two most hated private companies in human history sooner or later.
While the author was clearly passionately against the bill, what was notably absent from Forbes article was any broad defense of the jabs. Much of the article complained about healthcare workers being criminalized for giving jabs instead of pharma companies, and generalized outrage about criminalizing other, future mRNA drugs in Idaho.
So it seems like the conversation may be shifting. As it gets harder and harder to defend the covid shots, the number of folks willing to give a full-throated defense is shrinking. Meanwhile, the number of people who are furious about the shots keeps growing. It’s just math.
That’s the most encouraging aspect of news like this. Obviously, though it’s a terrific idea and I hope it passes, this anti-mRNA bill faces a torturous path even getting to a floor vote. But long shorts like this continue to change the conversation and move the Overton window. Eventually, some anti-pharma rubber is going to grip the road someplace, and we’ll start to get some traction.
And THEN, watch out. Here we come.
💉 One of my personal favorites, actor Bruce Willis, who temporarily stopped acting last year because of a little “aphasia,” now has a diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia, or FTD, which is not the happy floral delivery kind.
Although last year they said Bruce was just taking a little time off, this is permanent. The family’s statement recognized the fact there’s no treatment for FTD: “Today there are no treatments for the disease, a reality that we hope can change in the years ahead. As Bruce’s condition advances, we hope that any media attention can be focused on shining a light on this disease that needs far more awareness and research.”
FTD is a very difficult diagnosis. It get progressively worse as patients’ brains atrophy, and many experience bizarre, erratic behaviors, like cursing uncontrollably or drinking an entire bottle of maple syrup, two examples cited in a New York Times’ article on Willis’ diagnosis.
“The family often suffers as much as the patient,” said a doctor quoted for the story.
Researching his case, I found this ‘fun’ roundup of 30 celebrities who died last year: [Link] I wonder what proportion of the Academy Awards were represented in this group of 30, and how many will be in the 2023 group?
💉 Actor Tom Sizemore, 61, was in critical condition yesterday, after suffering a “brain aneurysm” AT HOME in Los Angeles on Saturday morning.
The well-known actor played in blockbusters like Passenger 57, Black Hawk Down, Saving Private Ryan, and Pearl Harbor. His manager described Sizemore’s condition as “a wait and see situation.”
Oddly, news coverage about the injured star is remarkably hostile. The stories reporting Sizemore’s hospitalization all mention a couple DUI’s he got before the pandemic and some domestic violence charges from the Aughts. I don’t know if they’re trying to setup a plausible alternative mechanism of injury or what, but it’s not very nice.
💉 Sizemore isn’t the only one suffering from aneurysms this week. Richmond head basketball coach Chris Mooney, 50, has been scheduled for heart surgery next week to remove an aneurysm from his ascending aorta.
It’s probably climate change. Mooney should try reducing his carbon footprint.
🔥 The FBI got another black eye last week when the New York Post ran a story headlined, “Hunter Biden’s link to disgraced ex-FBI official Charles McGonigal.”
Charles McGonigal, former chief of counterintelligence for the FBI’s New York field office, was indicted on two counts last week for: taking secret cash payments from a former Albanian intelligence officer, holding secret meetings with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, and trying to get top Kremlin oligarch Oleg Deripaska off a U.S. sanctions list.
Russia-gate.
Prosecutors allege that in late 2017, McGonigal took $225,000 in cash from the Albanians — even while working as the FBI’s counterintelligence chief in New York. Among his many extracurricular activities, McGonigal assisted an Albanian named Dorian Ducka, who worked with a Chinese agent named Ye Jianming, who gave Hunter Biden a gigantic diamond and a million-dollar legal retainer (because Hunter is just that good).
Curiously, emails on Hunter Biden’s laptop from 2017 repeatedly referred to a person named “Dorian” who “was a real help early on.” They were probably talking about McGonigal. So.
McGonigal left the FBI in September 2018 to spend more time with family, after one of his former mistresses snitched about bags of cash lying around McGonigal’s Brooklyn apartment. Those pesky bags of cash are always causing trouble. Not to mention ex-mistresses.
Bags of cash. Mistresses. Albanians. At times, one gets the sense that the FBI doesn’t exactly police organized crime, so much as the FBI -is- the organized crime.
🔥 News Nation’s Chris Cuomo (he was recently fired by CNN), interviewed an East Palestine resident who says Norfolk Southern offered to relocate his family from their East Palestine house, which is very close to the creek.
🔥 The trend continued as more apologies for being wrong about the pandemic appeared online this weekend. Here in the next clip is social media influencer Daniela, who now calls herself a “covid contrarian” and who worked to keep NY schools open, confessing supporting early mandates:
Next, on Fox News’ prime time with Laura Ingraham, California doctor Michael Huang said he no longer recommends the vaccine and said he was sorry: “I have to apologize on behalf of my profession. Physicians have really fallen on our face, and they have refused to listen to patients when they come in with vaccine injury symptoms.”
Laura asked, “Should the government be recommending covid shots … of any kind[?]” Dr. Huang sensibly replied, “If you get sick, you don’t call the CDC or FDA for recommendations … the government should let doctors practice medicine.”
The trend is a fascinating phenomenon, particularly because I’ve never seen even one of these going the other way. What I mean is, you never see anything like this:
Interviewer: Do you have any regrets about the pandemic?
Doctor: I regret that I was initially opposed to masking, but now I realize that if we had just masked a little harder, for a little longer, with just a few more layers, then we could have avoided all of this trouble and maybe even learned how to breath without oxygen.
Nope. It’s all one-way. Which proves some of us were right the entire time. And it keeps going the right direction. It won’t take much longer.
