I am very afraid of HRT. It freaks me out doing fake hormones but I know why people do it and I’ve thought about it!!!

I follow Mercola too but not the nat library. I do know thag Maca powder helps with libido/hormone stabilizing.

@Lisa Ca, your words

“I’m very afraid of HRT”

This is your intuition, your deeper self vs your “logical” brain-based process. Have you ever had a feeling you should or shouldn’t do something, thought it over and overruled the initial feeling only to chide or kick yourself later?

I would never tell anyone to not think about something. I’m saying give special consideration to that inner you-have-no-idea-where-it-came-from spidey sense.

Intuition comes like a whisper. It is so quiet and light and soft a busy mind can easily miss it. It’s there to guide you.

Food for thought.

I so often find that my ‘intuition’ is but a shortcut my brain took to a destination. When I retrace how I may have gotten there (because I often have to explain it), I find that it was applied logic all the time —but with many factors drawn from tucked away experiences, knowledge etc. Nothing esoteric about the mind! But I’m wrong sometimes too —new info sometimes needs to factored in. …And this will be tucked away for the next intuitive insight ;))

Discernment. The greatest gift of all that God gave us to go along with free will. If we can't discern truth then our free will becomes a liability and then his greatest creation, man, could never realize the full glory of life he intends for us. We must always use it. We must never put our faith in man, any man, no matter an expertise in something they claim. We only put our faith in God. And do the hard work of gathering all available information and use our discernment to choose wisely. There are no shortcuts, we mustn't be lazy just trusting "experts."

Why do women take HRT? I've never understood that.

My 2¢...

Women take HRT because drug company R&D knew women's bodies change after menopause;

they figured out the biggest factor behind the changes (hormone shifts);

they isolated and developed compounds that have the same chemical structure but are synthesized, not natural;

they trained (sold or bought depending on how you frame it) doctors on their solution! to the changes women's bodies undergo so they don't have to suffer the worst effects (of a natural process - but they didn't say that part);

and women bought it.

Damn straight the body (as well as wisdom) changes over time and no longer becomes an ideal environment for the complex biological process of childbearing. That is the province of the young/er female body. FEMALE of the species, just to be clear here in 2023. For how long has this been the case? Hm. Ever since the dawn of the species? But oh John D. Rockefeller's medical industrial complex has a solution to nature! *insert eye roll

Yeah. 2¢ worth.

I remember years back when I found out that the No. 1 HRT at the time, Premarin, used a hormone derived from the urine of pregnant horses. That's all I needed to know. (Not that I had any intention ever of taking anything to influence or interfere with what my body was going to do on its own as a natural part of its lifecycle.)
