So I looked at it. I ended up going into Brave settings. Followed the prompts for search engines. Added a custom search index of yandex.com and also Brave. I was able to make those default that way. Now when I click to a website “google” isn’t popping up at all. The hesitation that was there stopped. It’…

Now when I click to a website “google” isn’t popping up at all. The hesitation that was there stopped. It’s like it was trying to use google so there was a hesitation before going to whatever web site. It was doing that for every search. I think this may have done it. Maybe try that. It’ll be interesting to try this for a few days and see.

One thing I noticed is when I am in my email for C&C and I click to reply to a comment the search bar shows google.com and then goes to coffeeandcovid comments. 🤔 I wonder if that’s for using a gmail account for the email?
But since I followed those steps it’s not happening with anything else anymore. Just from within the gmail….
Ok. Just went directly to C&C without using gmail and it did not use google at all! So it must be because gmail is google crap. Weird though because I thought I removed “google” from my phone. So 🙌 🙌 that we are figuring this out!! I’m thinking I’ll change to a proton mail acct. I see lots of people switching to that too.
Proton has definitely crossed my mind!!
