Another thrilling read to go with my "cup o'joe" this morning. Thanks, Jeff.

That clip of the group reaction to "I'll vote for her because she's black" was fantastic.

As a former Californian, now Floridian, my husband and I used to gather our church small group and once a month make and serve dinner in a park in Carlsbad, CA for 30-50 homeless people. The group that organized it began asking for tents and sleeping bags to be donated. When I objected indicating that the tents created a tent city and didn't encourage the homeless to utilize the services provided by the city and county (shelter for those who tested negative for drug use), I was ridiculed for my opinions.

We've been out of that hellhole for three years now and I have no desire to return.

I have a hard time with people who do not understand that 99% of these people have drug addictions and/or mental illness issues and will NOT live somewhere that they cannot have free reign to do exactly as they please. Years ago the Seattle Police did a video commentary and proved there is no helping these people that do not want to be helped. They want free food, free housing, free medical, free phones, free internet, free access to drugs and alcohol, no accountability whatsoever and will not work even one minute for any of it. Even the bums of old times were better. They knew they were bums.

When we first moved to Seattle in 2017, we naively took big vats of hot potato soup to the homeless encampments.

Didn't take us long to realize there WAS an "H" problem, but it wasn't "homelessness."

In the Seattle area where I used to live, woke churches hold “tent drives” where members purchase tents to give to the homeless. And they have to be new, not used! 🤦‍♀️
