Lincoln’s inspired prose written on the train to Gettysburg is a great example of an extraordinary President in extraordinary times. Can you imagine what Biden would have written on a napkin while riding Amtrak to Wilmington, Delaware?
I’m a #NEARLY lifelong Lincolnophile and a quarter century #AbrahamLincoln reenactor asking you as a fellow citizen who’s in awe, not “fear” of our Lord Gott who is literally Love/Amor (ref. 1 John 4:8), to cease repeating the falsehood the Gettysburg Address was hastily composed on the rickety train ride from Washington City to Gettysburg , Pennsylvania on November 18th, 1863, the day before the dedication of our nation’s first national cemetery, renowned thereafter as #HallowedGround.
A couple of years ago we bought 13 flags and we line them up along the edge of our flower bed next to our driveway to honor/remember the 13 lost in the Afghanistan debacle. We put them out on all of the 'flag' holidays as a reminder to never forget.
