We have Memorial Day and Veterans Day.

2 days.

"Pride" gets the whole month of June.

Doesn't seem fair.

Pride only gets a month if you choose to celebrate it.

Hard to ignore with all the rainbow flags everywhere.

For Catholics, June is the month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. In Rapid City, SD, our TLM Church is fighting back. We are placing flags, bumper stickers and more around the city to combat the false ‘pride’ symbols that will be shown.

Genesis 1:27 “Male and female He created them.”

Maybe it should be called sin month or pride of satan's month. The way it is celebrated would make sodom and gemorrah proud.

RunningLogic's avatar

Well, pride *is* one of the deadly sins, so “sin month” is pretty appropriate really…

Fly your own rainbow flag with a cross on it. And a Rock. And a crown.

Or with Noah's ark...the reminder of the rainbow should be that God judged the entire earth (but Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord) but God vowed not to judge the whole earth by flood again. Next time will be by fire. They are witnesses against themselves of God's judgement.

Their use of the rainbow is mockery.

Yet every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of the Father. They will confess in this life to their Lord and Savior or they will confess in the next life before the judgement seat.

This would certainly be misconstrued, though.

Those aren't really rainbows but an evil approximation. Their rainbow is missing a color as it only has six (the number of man?).

Hard for US to ignore. There is One who can do this for us:

Psalm 119:37

"Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and give me life in your ways."

Kathleen - But we also have Flag Day June 14th, which is also Trump's birthday.

And Constitution Day...Make this one count especially in the schools. The DAR in this area assists schools in celebrating Constitution Day.

Well, I guess it takes a month to have even 1/100th the impact of either Memorial or Veterans Days.

Seriously… that is what you choose to focus on today?

Having an entire month makes it easily forgettable and is simply an excuse to party or fund raise or whatever they want to exploit the people.

Those who gave their lives for this country never asked for a day or a month, they just answered the call.

I am grateful. 🇺🇸🙏

I focus on the fact the 20-22 veterans commit suicide every day.

Jamie's avatar

Then fight for their lives!!!

Bringing misery to the world doesn’t serve anyone, especially yourself. What can you do today to lift someone up, expecting nothing in return?

Expand full comment
Kathleen Janoski's avatar

And what the "f" do you do about the veteran suicides?

And what the "f" do you do about veterans who cannot even access adequate health care at the VA?

If you are not a veteran, I would appreciate you just shut up.

AND IF he is a veteran??? just asking.... I do agree with him that perhaps your focusing on how many days one gets vs. another is not the right perspective... it only serves to make you angry. How does that help you?

Pride, one of the 7 Deadly Sins, for the sin of the perversion of the gift of sex that is the source of all new life. The irony and the blasphemy!

If you add up all the other days, it's hundreds of days per year that we "celebrate" gay or "trans" people. It's also not a coincidence IMO that our medical system has made more progress in the treatment of HIV/AIDS and hepatitis than they have in the treatment of Alzheimer's and dementia. Not fair is an understatement. It's an inversion of humanity, morality, and basic decency. "Pride," indeed.

Let's follow Rules for Radicals and demand the government declare the whole month of June a federal holiday.

We wouldn't even notice that nothing was getting done.

Apparently most of the federal government workers in the DC area are still "working from home."

Covid is over...guess they didn't get the memo.

Jon Swenson's avatar

Depending upon one's job, many are working from home.

One DoD contractor said he spends all day on zoom meetings so why go into the office?

I prefer being in the office directly interacting with people.

We are losing much productivity and innovation interfacing on-line.

We are also losing the ability to talk to each other face to face.

Reading facial cues is extremely important.

Jeff's sarcasm is sometimes difficult to dicern.

On boards like this, I take what is written literally until proven otherwise.

Vocalization is important, too.

Howie Carr used to say, "Never write when you can speak. Never speak when you can nod. Never nod when you can wink."

Kathleen Janoski's avatar

The masking during the covid plandemic made it extremely hard to communicate with people.

I unconsciously read lips when people speak...as with most veterans. Especially the ones who have hearing loss.

But...that was probably the purpose with the draconian tyranny that Fauci, NIH, Birx, Collins, etc., inflicted on us.
