Well, we as fallen humans are full of every sort of sin and perversion right? Some have chosen to claw at the edges of acceptability in society and I suppose that is where society pushes back or lies down. don;t discount the persuasiveness of the power of suggestion. everyone, like it or not, will believe in something. The choice is not really varied. It is Good (God) or Evil (Sin in fallen world).

Now, I write the following for anyone else reading. It is well known to you!

God didn't create mistakes. Everyone has a purpose (we don't have to understand it). But ours is a fallen world. God set out the parameters for man and man was given free will and opted to violate them. Life is not without consequence. We in the fallen world (satan's domain for now)is full of those with unregenerate heart, loving sin and in some cases, having evil thoughts constantly! Luckily God has provided us a remedy to the death in sin (the consequence of choices), His Holy, once and for all sacrifice of His son Christ, who died on the cross for the sins of everyone and 3 days later defeated sin and death by rising from the dead to ascend to heaven and the right hand of God. Trans people, adulterers, liars, thieves, evil minded (all of us!)... all are called to repentance (turning away) for our sins and belief in our one and only savior (Christ) saving us from ultimate and permanent death and separation from our creator God. Hallelujah!

Angela there was not one pastor who chose to speak last night. Not one. But lay people did. I agree, there is plenty to say in the next breath! We are a nation full of silent christians. May it be no more!

I’ve been seeing the same silence in my church. I’ve spoken to an Elder, prompted the Women’s Ministry Director to take a stance and they utter excuses: we don’t have enough resources for counseling; we need to continue to pray for spiritual revival. I’m simply saying that the pulpit needs to denounce that behavior loudly and assertively. There are a few churches that have taken that stance but that example is not followed everywhere. We’ve lost faith in our government, all alphabet soup agencies and sadly now even our churches are failing us as well.
