The Duran had an interesting take in their recent review of the US credit rating downgrade, let’s see if I can do it justice: current administration is going to ramp up spending to avoid a recession before the 2024 election (“selection?”). However, conditions will be such that a recession is unavoidable by Q4 2024. If the Marxists/Communists win, they’ll shrug shoulders saying “we will deal with it”. If DJT wins, he gets all the blame, “See? The markets responded to the election of orange man negatively and look what happened!”
