NO, he didn't create to threaten me, but OTHERS would use even the GOOD things the LORD has given us (weather, food, air) to threaten our existence... His peace gives me comfort, and DISOLVES ALL MY FEARS!
This explains why none of this makes sense to you.
I Corinthians 2:14
“The unspiritual man does not receive the gifts of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual man judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. “For who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.”
OK, my question wasn't about whether YOU believe in God, but about whether your response is a strong argument.
You were asking "who created the angels that defected" and that God "wouldn't have to rescue you from anything he didn't create" which suggests you think that God (if existing as described in the Bible) is responsible for evil. So in that context, my question is whether a God who creates angels and humans with free will is still responsible for their evil?
if a god were invented by men, there would be legion of them, not just one. Since so many billions attest to the same God as He has revealed Himself in many ways over thousands of years, that God must be real. All the other imaginations purporting to BE the one rue god have tobe fabricaions. And are.
Vonu, did the teachers do your homework for you? Does your boss pick you up from home and drive you to? Does your mother still wipe your butt after you crap?💩
You have an internet account or we wouldn’t be texting. That means you have a search engine. I took less than 5 minutes and got an answer.
I mean, obviously - IF God is real - then he can tell people? That doesn't tell you whether any *particular* earthling had a real revelation from God or is just BSing, but it shows that it's possible.
"For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. " (1st letter to Corinth, ch.15:3-6)
You can question whether the above is actually true or not, but apparently somebody tried to answer that objection in advance, as regards Christianity.
(And my point wasn't really to argue about specific claims, only responding to your comment that seemed to imply that nobody on earth could know what was happening in heaven - I'm saying, that's pre-supposing that nobody in heaven could or would tell them.)
.... it seems like you kind of missed my point. Of course the evidence suggests that dead humans are unable/unwilling to communicate back to the living (otherwise we would see it happening a lot). But the existence of heaven/valhalla/whatever presumes some kind of deity, and most versions of such deity have power enough to communicate with still-living mortals. Therefore, "earthlings cannot ever know what happens in heaven" is not logically sound.
- I don't know that I am a typical MD, most are specialists, I am a Family Doc.
+/-Pompous, well, opinions are mixed on that one.
+ Rude, yes, I admit to being rude at times, usually retaliatory,
+/- Entitled, well, evidence is mixed: social security, several retirement accounts, have my license, and prescriptive privileges, entitled to pay dues to my specialty society--don't know if that is entitlement.
- Big Pharma puppet, no actually not at all--anti-Big Pharma and no $$ from them.
++ Asshole, well I have one and some have called me that.
Score: 3 +'s, 2 -'s, 2 +/-'s for a slightly above .500 (since it is baseball season).
So on balance, you are sorta correct. Sorry if I offended your sensibilities. I don't know if you will see this or not, as SubStack tells me that you blocked me--you can give it out, but you can't take it, eh? That says a lot.
Regardless of its source, fear is an extremely effective recruiting ploy.
"I sought the LORD, and He answered me and RESCUED me from ALL my fears" Psalm 34:4
Amen 🙏
He wouldn't have to rescue you from anything he didn't create to threaten you.
NO, he didn't create to threaten me, but OTHERS would use even the GOOD things the LORD has given us (weather, food, air) to threaten our existence... His peace gives me comfort, and DISOLVES ALL MY FEARS!
Who created all the angels that defected from heaven?
I have a suspicion you know the answer to that question 🙂
Because it overturns the table of the theologians just like Jesus did the moneychangers'.
Is God morally responsible for the free choices of creatures? Or do you argue that God is incapable of granting free will to angels or humans?
I can't answer that question because I do not believe in God.
This explains why none of this makes sense to you.

I advise caution in going against Almighty God.
My thoughts are not your thoughts
Isaiah 55:6-9
“Seek the Lord while he may be found,
call upon him while he is near;
let the wicked forsake his way,
and the unrighteousness man his thoughts;
let him return to the Lord, that he may
have mercy on him,
and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
FOR MY THOUGHTS ARE NOT YOUR THOUGHTS,
NEITHER ARE YOUR WAYS MY WAYS, SAYS THE LORD.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.
And…
Psalm 14:1
The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds; there is none who does good.
Christ hasn't had a mind since he disincarnated.
Non-local immaterial spirits require no mind, their consciousness is immutable.

All of your premises are made specious by the non-existence of the God you imagine.
Yes... and... Who created the woman that married Cain and who was she and where did she come from?
Same One who created all the humans who spit in His face in various ways.
The same one invented by men to control other men.

The best way to conceal the legions of deities worshiped by mankind is to insist that there is only one god.
If you can't get a camel through the eye of a needle... you will burn in hellfire for eternity.
That's not a threat?
Sounds like Baalam's ass has spoken again!

I think it was a rhetorical question.
Like: How can an Earthling know what has happened
in Heaven or Hell?
I mean, obviously - IF God is real - then he can tell people? That doesn't tell you whether any *particular* earthling had a real revelation from God or is just BSing, but it shows that it's possible.
Usually, if someone is conversing with a god,
it is because they are hallucinating. A god could easily
prove their existence by appearing to a mass of people
all at once, not just to one person alone in the desert eating peyote.
He already did and will again, and on that day *every* knee will bow and *every* tongue confess Jesus Christ is Lord. Scoff now, bow later.

Arriving at your necrodestination requires that you have died.
If you are dead, you will have no ability to communicate your situation to the living.
Noone can know if you have ascended to Heaven or Vahala, or descended into Hell, or Niflheim depending on your persuasion.

The only person that it matters to will certainly know.
You don’t think you can get a sign?
I have not yet, but I'll keep an eye out.
