I'm not following news, so I have no reference for your statement. Told by whom? One side uses civilians as shields and parades them when they're dead.

Your Israeli military friends told you that they told Palestinian civilians to go to certain places so they, your friends, could bomb them, as usual? Interesting OPSEC.
That is not what I said. Israeli policy is to notify civilians to clear an area that is about to be hit as a "humanitarian measure." If civilians do end up killed, the government can absolve itself with a "well, we DID warn them!" Israel is not the only country that does this, it's actually quite common, in a sad sort of way.
Thanks for the correction. It's a heck of a lot better than attacking civilians, though, don't you think? You can't give 100% control of your strategy and tactics to your enemy by allowing them to place civilians here, there, and everywhere to keep you from counter-attacking. War is deadly, but the Law of War and the philosophy of Just War are attempt to make it less unjust, at least.

Told by the Israeli military, per usual policy for the past few decades.
