Yup. And, yet look at the destruction too. Itβs a tough one. Are the gains and sacrifices worth it? Idk. Going backward 30 years technology wise sounds good too. π
Idk either. We certainly seem on the verge of another Tower of Babel time. And considering that all our communications are like a lot of babble floating through the airβ¦. βWe battle not against flesh and blood, but powers and principalities of the air.β Eph 6:12. And then comes the wonderful, βWherefore take unto yourselves the whole armor of Godβ¦β Eph 6:13-20.
I resisted the βcell phone crazeβ, hoping it would pass. Now Iβm using it for good to the best of my abilities. Someone on here today spoke to the need for us all to βpreach the gospelβ, which is certainly true. And never could so many be reached with so little effort, so thereβs certainly that.
Just please donβt wish us back to the early 1950s. My poor mamaβs wash day started with making a fire under a big iron pot and went downhill from there.
I have often used the idea that the headhunter's grandson in the jungles of Borneo now cannot live without his iPhone. The Lord is not limited to the physicality of human presence when people find him, even if it is a televised internet revival. I have a feeling more people than not have had a chance to know the living God, hence, the closer we draw toward the end. But, I am only one chick with an opinion!
I think your opinion is right on target! Even βthe headhunterβs grandson in the jungles of Borneoβ has access to hearing the gospel and if he can read some, thereβs no doubt an online translation of the Bible in his own language.
I was with youβ¦then you made me laugh! I really donβt wanna go that backwards. π I do like waking up in a bed and pushing a button for coffee. π
I used to run around to two or three drug stores and a supermarket or two looking for a particular shade of lipstick. Now with some keystrokes, it gets delivered to me on a schedule. One item out of many. Iβm an older person. I canβt do that running around anymore, nor do I want to.
And yet I appreciate what technology does for me.

The Devil just thinks heβs so clever.

I would just like a toaster made in America.

And if I want information, itβs just right in front of me. And I can discern between the truth and misinformation quite well.
