Seems so! In the 70’s as a kid, I was proud of how healthy our country was.( & later fell for a lot of false pharmaceutical promises, just got side effects & more issues)
Thankful for my integrative medicine doctor. they tend to honor the Hippocratic oath .

How things were in our earliest growing up years imprints for life. It is our yard stick for comparison. In the 1950's kids could roam the cities and the parents would not worry it the least. The same for the suburbs, little towns into the 1970's and even the 1980's. By the 1970's, the major American cities were already very, very shaky. I know because I lived in New York City in Manhattan. Now everything is a wreck and totally insane. Older people like me can hardly believe it. Fortunately, things look to be going the other way now. How it works out though, nobody can say. I do know that the insanity cannot persist forever because it is simply too much for humankind to bear.
That's quite a cat photo! God bless and take good care of yourself. And thanks much for the reply. I enjoyed it.
