What's funny is on twitter, RFK's announcement of the new board was riddled with MAHA commenters complaining about how he didn't choose anyone who was anti-vax. That term has been tossed around so freely, everyone has their own definition. But what people on both sides fail to understand is that you shouldn't have anyone who is cemented in pro- or anti- ANYTHING. The whole point is to have people who purely follow what the science (NOT "The Science™") says, not a pre-existing ideology that may cause them to overlook overwhelming evidence that may challenge said views. To your point, he appointed people who look at what the data say and come to their conclusions based on that as opposed what people WANT them to say or believe.

Yep, and what I notice about many MAHA and MAGA folks, especially on X, is a bit similar to Jeff's description of democrats. Their inability or unwillingness to trust the very people most of us could only dream of that are now running these agencies/dept's. Impatience, critiquing every move, and even threatening to leave the base. They're either fake supporters or have memories the size of peas. We didn't get to this place overnight and we certainly aren't getting out overnight either. Everything RFK Jr is doing is taking us in the right direction.

I concur! It makes me sick when I read some of the things they’re saying.

People, don’t cap the man trying to lead us into the Promised Land simply bc he didn’t get us there in 8 days!

Your error is far more accurate than you realise.

pH has a scale from 1 to 14. 7 is the middle, neutral, is plain water, safe and wholesome. The extremes, 1 and 14 are highly toxic corrosive, deadly. Acid that will burn skin, alkiline that will dissolve skin.

The wacko envirothugs ARE in fact promoting non-neutral status most times. A pox upon civilisation, they are.

Many may be (recently) converted democrats (or still democrats who never liked vaccines and ignored the base messaging)--all blindsided by the shenanigans during covid (as we all were) but still clinging to their belief in cLiMaTe ChAnGe and vote blue no matter who (not understanding the reason why things never change). There was once a time when being against vaccinating your children made you a hippie tree hugger, bleeding heart liberal. I remember that time....I know I have been thrilled to see the changes I have been wanting for the last 27 years as a pharmacist, having to explain to people that no, doctors really don't know everything, no, you actually need cholesterol in your body, no you don't need an antibiotic for a cold, no vitamin D isn't rat poison unless you are using pure powder which you can't just buy. Many many things have been wrong for a very long time.

Yea, I don’t care if they offer vaxes, but allow for informed consent. It’s the whole Covid shot scandal again. I shouldn’t have to file a religious exemption for my kid to attend school without shots. It shouldn’t be their business. Offer the shots all you want but don’t say a word to me or anyone when I say “no.”

international and federal laws MANDATE "fully informed consent" prior to adminisering ANY drug or procedure, which includes injections.

Return to that mandate. I know of NO ONE who took that deadly shot who was "fully informed". When they start asking questions as to why I refused the poke, the are blown away when I tell them why... they had no clue. In other words NO ONE "fully informed" them prior to their shot. Most regret taking it, claiming had they known they would NOT have taken it.

You're full of crap.

Patriots have a right to criticize people who fail to live up to expectations.

Waltz was a clown... Kellog is a moron...

Kash and Bondi have let us all down by refusing to release the promised Epstein, 911 and JFK files (all to protect Israel, which was deeply involved in all three). The Big Bill is a pork-filled disgrace. RFK Jr's refusal to outright ban the Covid death-jabs is a sign of cowardice or Big Pharma capture.

Trump's support of both the Zionist maggots of Israel and the corrupt scumbag grifters of Ukraine are appalling... his bombing of Yemen a clear war crime.

YOU are the one with a brain the size of a pea.

A MAGA without demanding promises to be kept and truth to be told is a MORON.

That's what makes conservatives so different from liberals. They tear it down and we build it up. They tear it down and we build it up. Over and over. It has been this way forever. It seems to have started with the Tower of Babel. God tore is down and mankind continued to try to rebuild it so they could become gods. It is still going on. This is also why Jesus told us to love our neighbor and to love our enemy.

In principle I whole heartedly agree, but they need to be able to discern real science from bad science, not just follow the science. In other words they have to have scientific understanding of the subject matter at hand as well as the ability to detect flaws in assumptions, process, or conclusions, along with a skeptical take on motives. $cience follows funding, so who's funding it and why will often explain the conclusions.

Scientific understanding doesn’t necessarily subvert Ideological principles or beliefs. Science is not a pinpoint nor is it stagnant. Science is more of an Overton Window, as we are flawed in our ability to comprehend the full extent of facts. We will always be working with the best guesses because we live in a fallen/corrupted changeable world.

And the ones there are/were wise enough, as Jeff stated, NOT to say things out loud causing them to step into a certain blob of 💩 and be blacklisted from the jump.

Sadly, IMO, many anti-vaxxers (or PRO-researchers, as I like to call myself) are currently eating their own. The infighting looks a lot like the democrat’s infighting.

Free thinkers? Ya, like free love. Nothing is Free. Where are those totally unbiased individuals you are referencing? Even 2-year olds have opinions. No such thing as unbiased, but there are people with strong moral and ethical convictions that reflect American ideals based on inalienable rights including the right to pursue happiness in the way you define it.

Yeah - I'm all for people who will actually do real scientific experiments, complete with real control groups and measured outcomes ... and then make a decision based on the findings and not the paychecks. If they find that shots are truly safe and effective, great. If they find that some drugs on the market were pushed through with no real scientific basis and don't work or are dangerous ... also great.

I'm okay with Malone saying that he still thinks there's promise for mRNA. There very well _could_ be - just not as it's currently done. He's also been pretty strong in pointing out the flaws with the mRNA shots and has been through the wringer as a result.
