Kersting's suicide was discovered on a Sat night, 9 PM by police. Ok what was he doing at the office late Sat night? Know these folks could have a heavy case load or burning the midnight oil before a trial...but what made the police show up at his office at that relatively late hour? What was he working on? Relatively young guy, I read that he worked prosecuting sexual assault cases and won a case against a child predator in March - it's also possible that his work took an emotional toll on him. Hard to know what to believe these days - may he RIP. Sad either way.

I used to be in the office at that time on a regular basis.

Well I've worked from home for 13 years now and agree - early mornings and late nights are more productive due to no phones and emails pinging. But how was it police came on the scene? Were others also working late and heard a gunshot? All of the stories I saw just said 'police arrived to find him dead' without saying what prompted them to show up in the first place. That was the point I was making - no mention of what tipped them off.
