My hubby was doing computer programming/automation. I've done medical transcription and data entry. I'm definitely looking for remote work because I homeschool and refuse to send the kids to public school. Hubby's job is easy enough for remote work as well (I gather a lot of those positions are remote). We apply and apply but never hear anything back, not even a 'sorry we hired someone else'.
We use anything and everything we can to get a job, local papers, LinkedIn, official company websites, Indeed, Flexjobs, Rat Race Rebellion...we actually don't care as long as we can get him a decent job, ideally one that pays at least what he was making before. If I went by what most say, he'll have a super hard time finding a job anywhere because he's white, so might as well try everything we can.
I am sorry. What type of jobs are you both looking for and where? There could be someone here who can help.

Have you each tried hanging out your own shingles on LinkedIn?
Yep, his is much more in-depth on there than mine.

I miss the face to face interactions, can't tell ya how many jobs back in the day I got, even when not qualified just off of face to face
