My niece's pediatrician threatened to call child services on her if she didn't feed her baby formula as her baby was underweight according to his charts. The doctors (aka salemen) are already captured. Now they need a new product they can profit off of and get it covered by Medicaid and WIC.

No one should ever take their child to a pediatrician. They are the WORST. Completely captured. A GP would be slightly more open. A pediatric naturopath better still. None best of all!

Agree! We used a dear friend that was a DO! Very Conservative.

Yup--they will always gain customer base by pushing to fed programs, school lunches, prisons, hospitals, and food banks (most of which are also captured). Stick it to the poor, what are those beggars gonna do, be choosy?

SMH.

I wonder if the mom was vaccinated? My vaxxed niece’s daughter also was failure to thrive while nursing. Not gaining weight and tiny. Her first baby (prior to Covid) nursed and gained just fine. 🤔

'according to his charts'. Is the child healthy? Is the child growing? My 10 year-old grandson, last April, remarked sadly to me. "I'm not growing very fast". I pointed out that 50% of him comes from a traditionally small people (such that when I, at 61", visited his other grandparents, I felt tall....).

If a baby is starving, someone needs to intervene.

He's blindly going by his chart produced for the average baby. The baby was not lethargic nor sickly. She is breastfeeding and prefers to do that solely. My BIL was told by the pediatrician that his child may have a problem as they were off the charts. He's 6'7" and the mom is 6'2. The doctor didn't consider that...only what they are hand fed by the AAP.

A baby can be under fed and not be lethargic or sickly. Maybe the mother doesn’t produce enough milk. I don’t think an experienced pediatrician just goes by “according to his charts.” He has eyes. He can see if the baby is chubby and healthy or severely underweight and needs child protection services. Sounds like the mother is putting her desires over her babies health.
