While, technically, nothing has changed in Church teaching, we would be naive to think homosexual couples won't approach priests for blessings and we would be even more naive not to recognize the slippery slope now being greased.

Exactly. It is the next step in the process of eventual blessing of ‘unions.’ You would have to be very naive to think it is not in the works.
