Bless you for sharing this precious testimony, VVV!! "On Christ the Solid Rock I stand...all other ground is SINKING SAND". I can understand why people who know not the Lord Jesus as their Personal Savior turn to drugs, alcohol or other addictions in order to "ease the torments" in this earthly life. But....for me...I will "hie me to the Rock Who is higher than I"!!

Like you, when I wake at night, I 'pass the time' in prayer. Lately it has seemed that almost at the very moment I wake, I'm already into "Our Father, who art in heaven..."
Every morning, every night, Our Father who art in heaven....it's the one thing that gets me through the night and gets me through the day. Also beyond thankful for what I have today for tomorrow we know not what comes out way.
Lately, on waking, I thank Him for yet another night of rest (which is not always so restful as I am rough on my body) and yet another day to serve Him.
It is indeed! We are unfathomably blessed to have such a Savior! "Born to save the sons of earth! Born to give them second birth! Hark the Herald angels sing, Glory to the new born King!"
Me too! When I wake, burdened by worries or anxious thoughts, I’ve turned to thanking God for all the blessings in my life. As I count and acknowledge them, I fall back asleep.

Love to hear this sung by a huge choir--like that of the Mormon Tabernacle genre - (smile)!
Yes! As I listen to Handel's Messiah part 1 for the enth time this season...
