I’m in the unfortunate state of California and I hear all the time, “It’s the same everywhere.” Even though they’ve never been anywhere. I try and be the voice of reason and tell them it isn’t the same....because I travel. I recently had a friend who was considering a move to Georgia thinking of changing her mind because her leftist, coastal parent told her it was, “The South was most racist and prejudiced place she could move to.” Even though this person has never stepped foot out of California. 🙄🙄

That the South is some racist hot bed is hysterical and shows a person has never actually lived there. My son just moved back from North Carolina and he says his friend and acquaintance group was FAR more racially diverse in NC v. NY.

Exactly! A few years ago we were in a hotel bar in Greenville, NC talking to some black people (my friend and I were the only white people at the bar). We got into a discussion about media and how “they” portray the South. This lady told me that 50-60 years ago...which is like 1960...it was like the media portrays. But...since then every family they know has someone married to another race, Caucasian, Mexican, Asian in their extended family. So...they’ve just all figured out how to get along. It’s seems to run along political lines...every liberal I know thinks the South, and the flyover states are ignorant, racist hotbeds without any educated people. 🙄 Crazy.

Liberals don't really think. They feel and assume.
