Here's what the "Conservatives" in Britain supported:

- Unimpeded illegal immigration

- Freebees to illegals

- Racial set-asides and a spoils system

- Hate speech laws

- Social media censorship

- Gay/trans agenda

- Criminalizing traditional Christian beliefs

- Lockdowns

- Billions to vax manufacturers and de-facto vax mandates

- Billions to Ukraine and overt warmongering towards Russia

- and on and on

They deserved to be wiped out and good riddance. They are the epitome of the uniparty, even worse than here if you can believe it.

The hypocrisy and projection is breathtaking.

Same thing in the US.

Here are the 8 steps in a totalitarians playbook:

1. Politicizing independent institutions

2. Spreading disinformation

3. Aggrandizing executive power

4. Quashing dissent

5. Marginalizing specific groups

6. Corrupting elections

7. Stoking violence

8. Make absurdities reality

Does any of this sound familiar?

I’m perpetually confused by the Eurotrash definitions of political parties. How is this “conservative”? What is conservative about more government and entitlement and taxes? What they describe as “left wing” and “right wing “ is inconsistent with most peoples understanding. I think they just use these words to confuse and obfuscate their plans and do whatever the hell they want—-much like our own system of governance. It’s just so frustrating the whole damned mess. Vote them all out! And Farage “won” but has already conceded he won’t be in leadership because he’s so “controversial”. Like, what? Stupid.

I think what they mean by left is just shy of communism and what they call right more socialist than anything. Anything truly conservative they call fascist or extreme right. But I live in the free state of Florida, so what do I know?

Oh, there is NO WAY they would allow Farage anywhere near a leadership position. The Reform Party, despite winning a larger percentage of total votes then Sinn Fein, won 5 fewer seats than SF. Exit polling showed a potential pick up of 13 seats for Reform but at the end of the day, only secured 4 seats. The Tories (i.e. "conservatives") lost a total of 251 seats in a year which saw the lowest turnout in 20 years, I think. The Substacker, Morgoth, does a great job covering the political and cultural scene in Britain:

They are both the same (just like the U.S.). Geez, 5 yrs of Labour is going to be distastrous for the UK. More unlimited immigration, more taxpayers paying for "refugees" to be on the dole w/ 5 bedroom houses for 4 wives/ 1 husband (who doesn't work), more wind mills/solar panels, more SMART "heating scams", more deindustrialation, sending jobs abroad...etc

This is going to be bad.

Gotta love the way things are named - double-speak style. I fully agree - they deserved to lose in a huge way.

Much like Macron in France and Mitsotakis in Greece who were both likewise recently shellacked during their respective elections

I hope that Reform UK can scoop up all the disaffected voters (Conservative or otherwise) so that in the next election (if the UK Survives that long), Reform can take over the government.

There was a movement to so decimate the Tories that they would be left with Zero Seats. That didn't come to fruition, but the loss was significant. I think the most seats lost in about 100 years.

Agree. I thought they were going to get less seats.

Agree. It seems very far from the party of Margaret Thatcher in that way.

And labour will stop anything the tories did? I think they will up immigration, kill small businesses with ramped up taxes, reinstate the 2030 cut off for sales of ICE vehicles, punish the motorists with pay per mile and increased vehicle insurance and tax, keep sending money to Ukraine and definitely Israel (his wife is Jewish). Inflation will increase, interest rates will increase. We really are fckd

Yup, Labor will only make it worse. My main point was that the Conservatives are actually left-wing but just a little less so than Labor. Yet they lie and pretend they are conservative. For that they were rightly punished.

Labor is awful but at least they are (generally) honest about who they are.

Scary! If that is what “conservatives” supported, what do the “liberals” support? Concentration camps for anyone who disagrees with their agenda (said only half in jest)!
