The Biden news will be interesting. I'm saddened that so many otherwise rational people have their top priority as a candidate "someone who can beat Trump" rather than "someone who will make our country better". I'm not really surprised by that, but still sad.
I read the nationwide stay against the crazy Title IX changes, but missed the bit where it was tied to the Chevron reversal. That _is_ great news and hopefully a sign of times to come. I saw RFK Jr lamenting that Chevron reversal - that it will cause more red tape. He seemed to be missing the bigger picture of unelected people making _huge_ rules up that affect normal people in all sorts of ways. The small number of times Chevron was helpful as opposed to the vast number of times new rules were created out of thin air by some petty bureaucrat ... I'm glad it is gone. But another reason why I can't support RFK Jr as a candidate. I appreciate his calling out the pharma companies, but most of his positions are just crazy to me.
The essence of RFK Jr. is being revealed more and more everyday. He's good on the medical freedom issue - which I admit is very important to me - but terrible on many of the other issues I value highly too. It does seem that at the end of the day, he's okay with a technocracy of his own making. I want the technocrats OUT.
problem with RFK jr is his uber liberal stand on most other issues. He is GREAT for medical freedom issues but otherwise? Of course if it is a choice between FJB and RFK, then RFK all the way. But there is also Orange man in the mix
RFK Jr is a New Dealer, Great Society, Progressive Socialist. He throws a few bones to populist working class issues and feels he's done with the masses, much like Obama--say some things that sound good but backstab the common folks and offer them public assistance for the wound.
