Nobody started this war in 2022 except Putin.

As a reminder Russia was moving troops to the area well before 2022. It wasn't an overnight thing.

Yes, Ukraine should join Nato. It's the only way to stop being forcibly assimilated into Russia.

I sort of disagree. If Cuba was hosting(for Russia) bio labs that were researching military use of potentially destructive viruses, would we just sit back and let that happen? Our govt finally admitted there were 8 or so labs in Ukraine doing the research that we agreed the US would not conduct (fine print = on our own soil). I’m no Putin fan but there was a lot more to this than just Putin is the aggressor, don’t you think?

Two points. There are still good Ukranians out there to fight and die for their country. Look to the olympics where there were tear jerker stories for Ukraine athletes, all looking to be in fine shape while 50 year old fatso soldiers are drafted for service. Look at Mudryk who plays for Chelsea in the english premier league, he showed up at the stadium after being signed and draped himself in the Ukraine flag. As long as young fit athletes are prancing around soccer pitches draped in their flag I find it hard to believe they are running out of soldiers. Of course they are running out of cannon fodder, the athletes are PR soldiers and must be preserved, however, they could draft them and get them killed and create tear jerker and bad Putin stories to build support. So much cynicism to be had. Point two: they are all behind efforts to bring back the draft-they want your sons (and apparently daughters too) to go fight and do what the Ukranians (and Israelis) cannot. Onward Christian soldiers!

Wrong. Listen up and follow Jeffrey Sachs, Oliver Stone, Douglas MacGregor and others. We have been lying to and provoking Russia since the fall of the Soviet Union. We repeatedly promised, when the Berlin wall fell, and a few years later, when the Soviet union collapsed, that we would “not move to the east and that NATO would not expand eastward” one inch. We have reneged on all of our agreements, to where we are now surrounding Russia with NATO troops. And then of course there’s the 36 or so bio labs in Ukraine, which the US has set up. And the 1500 or so special forces which we are not supposed to know about (probably a much bigger number…)

The need for NATO ceased to exist once the USSR fell. The Warsaw Pact came apart, Gorbachev said he wanted Russia to become part of the rest of the world. But instead of halting the expansion or dismantling NATO, instead those nations slowly began getting absorbed into NATO.

Gee, I can’t imagine why Putin feels cornered and threatened. The Russians are a proud people with a proud history, and they have every right to defend their homeland, as does every other legitimate people who are living in a place where they have had a long and deep history.

Do some research on the Maidan revolution and how we overthrew their election, and prevented the people from choosing the government they wanted. We are pretty good at this election engineering business, in case you haven’t noticed.

Zelenskyy is our puppet, and we are Netanyahu’s puppet. Follow the money.

The 3 minutes of thunderous applause Congress gave to Netenyahu (across both sides of the aisle) tells you everything you need to know about who controls our Congress. This greeting was followed by 58 standing ovations, all the while as Netenyahu scolded and lectured us in our own house. No American hero has ever received that type of response in our lifetimes.

It was an object and abject lesson in humiliation.

Meanwhile a fake J6- like demonstration took place in WDC at Union Station, just yards from the capital, in which a “Hamas” protestor defaced our memorials, burned the US and Israeli flag, and flew the Hamas flag. No arrests so far.

The Russian forces are complaining that Ukrainian units are "crawling out of the trees everywhere." These are small teams of scouts that harass Russian units with quick pinpoint attacks followed by a rapid egress. Once a picture of the Russian defenses is developed, a larger assault force will move up to engage an/or envelop them.

AFU forces are entering #Kolychevka from the east and SOF force are reported to be west of the Sudzha-Rylsk highway near there which means it is "partially" controlled. There is no potential for the Russians to evacuate east as it appears that #Tolpino is at a minimum disputed. And, to the west is the Reka Seym river for which the next available bridge is in Rylsk.

The traditional Ukrainian equivalent (and Russian) of these small scout teams are DShRG's (Diversionary Sabotage Reconnaissance Groups) which, from my observations of this war, tend to work independently on covert operations versus in support of a larger operational group. In contrast, these Ukrainian teams are operating more along the lines of US Rangers or British Rangers (previously Specialised Infantry Group) in which they are capable of conducting independent covert" operations as well as supporting larger ground operations.

I'd Make them each exchange 5 towns and then DMZ the place and fill it with Islamic Immigrants for the next 50 years.

Expand full comment
Benjamin Two N's's avatar

Your first statement, absolutely.

Putin saw a weak US president and decided to gamble on being able to take the entire country in a few days before anyone could react. The biden admin's response to the afghan debacle emboldened him and he started moving troops and equipment in late 2021 for "training" and denied there was an invasion happening despite the west saying they were invading.

Had Trump been able to remain in the white house none of this would have happened and had it happened Trump would have run a much more effective aid campaign to Ukraine than Biden. They'd have 300 tanks, F16s, and Atacms by the fall of 2022/summer of 2023, not 31.

I can safely say this by pointing at his covid policies: He spent trillions on pork and socialist spending because covid was his "Current thing". Russian enlarging itself on his watch would have made him look and he would have gone all out to avoid looking bad.

Ukraine wasn't eligible for Nato membership in 2022 which is why Putin invaded in 2014 and why he started the war in 2022. Nato membership keeps Putin away. They claim the baltics but don't dare invade because there's a sizeable nato contingent there. Moldova and Georgia also have Russian backed invasions which keep them out of Nato.

If we abandoned nato and the west nothing would get done about the border. It's a political problem not a one or the other.

Russia could, IDK, follow the treaties they signed.

The deep state bureaucrats, the CCP, and the WEF all launched the covid pLandemic, they had conducted numerous test runs and built the operational force through stolen elections and bought and paid for media, etc. That you have not figured that out yet, is catastrophic, for you. Trump was sold a lie from advisers like the human cockroach fauci, scarf birx, CIA, FBI, many state governors like witmer and newsom, the list is long and including Benedict Pence. But the bottom line is that Trump reacted with a mindset to save lives, not take them. Did he make mistakes, yes, trusting all these criminals to actually be working for the Citizens of the USA not for the cabal of global criminals. He has learned that lesson and it was a costly one, but remember this and remember it clearly, he did not demand lock downs of anyone, any where, any time, and he also did not dictate anyone should take the poison. Trump is not the monster.
