The media called Jan 6 a deadly insurrection that nearly overthrew the US Government, so you can understand why they called what happened in Russia a "Civil War."

I am really disappointed in Bush. He endured much mocking in the world by the media because (imo )he was a Christian. How can he promote or accept this new world order of depravity and chaos? Has Soros bought him too?

Yes. He is a rino uniparty member.

He was always playing a part. Uniparty isn’t just a clever derogatory political slur; it’s a truth. They’re all cohorts in the same plan. Aparatchniks.

Why has the republican party been so apparently impotent over the years (with but a few exceptions)? Why did they never kept their promises, except to throw us an occasional bone?

Depravity and chaos is their sustenance. Lying is their breath.

At their core, whether bred to it, bought, bribed coerced or blackmailed (or all of the above), they’re all part of the Beast.

And they know it!

…Let that last sink in.

So…Bush hasn’t changed. He was ever thus. He has, as have the whole corrupt (or worse) lot of them worn their masks, said their lines, played their roles. We have been duped.

Absolutely! His true colors came out when he happily handed over the presidency to Barry Soetoro and was so chummy with the Obummers and Clinton’s at Bush 41’s funeral. He refused to criticize Obummer throughout his failed, miserable presidency but chimed right in to criticize President Trump. What a loser!

Bush 41 was head of the CIA. Enough said.

I’m sorry to say I was fooled for a long time and voted for both 41 and 43 twice. Now my eyes are wide open!

Like Jeff, I am watching the crowds believing that the next evidence of criminality will finally topple the degenerate criminal globalist regime we live under. And it occurred to me that every time I've had a whiff of redemption, a bright moment, it's been because I had HOPE that was based in the rule of law. That THAT cavalry would finally arrive. But what do we do when we've completely lost the chance of that? We have a majority of decent people who just want to get on with their lives, who just want 2019 back, who want the old institutions to function, but no matter how egregious and criminal, our evil and disgusting "leadership" is never held to account. Somebody please convince me again that the arc of history does bend towards justice...

Martin's avatar

The arc of history doesn’t just bend towards justice - from the beginning it’s been flying like an arrow directly towards it. However, it is Gods’ justice applied in His time and in His way and it will be utterly horrifying for those who are not His. I hope that you will find yourself to be one of those - redeemed by Christ - before that day.

Superb answer, Martin! (corrected)

We need supernatural patience, perseverance, hope and peace. Redeemed and resting and sustained that by His Good Grace. His love and justice will prevail. And it’s always darkest just before the dawn.

I'm leaning towards the 30-06. Sorry, but I'm pretty sure we were instructed to fight this evil in the full armor of God. That includes weapons. It requires warriors. Waiting for God to save you from this, is not how it's done.

Devolan —

You mean THIS part?

Ephesians 6:10-18

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,

and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Go in peace and God Bless.

Almost everybody is resisting as though we still live in a democracy: petitions, campaigns, candidates, laws, winning arguments with overwhelming facts and evidence. Resistance to a tyrannical government takes very different forms

Expand full comment
Dick's avatar

We never lived in a “democracy” we live in a Constitutional Republic. We must know the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of rights. These are the Law of the land. It is to these that we must hold ourselves, our government, laws and everyone accountable. All laws and governmental bodies must conform to these or else they are unlawful and liable. Our obligation is to disobey them.

Lawful justice lives only within the confines of the intent expressed in the words of the Constitution as the brilliant and inspired Founders wrote it. They were very clear about the meanings as expressed in their writings.

Corruption has captured all of our institutions, top to bottom, but there are those inside and outside these institutions using lawful, but not always straightforward means to restore our republic to integrity and justice.

You have mentioned those working within the justice system (as Jeff does). These individuals have achieved many successes —please do not disparage them. Others are pending; the wheels of justice grind slowly.

As Jeff knows, as well, information is paramount.

Resistance, yes. Absolutely. But with utmost wisdom, knowledge, courage and prudence. And we need to apply those virtues to ourselves in our self-governance, first.

What I posted in the previous reply above are wise and

True words. It’s hard not to be wise in our own eyes.

100% correct, thanks. I guess my point was that we are reacting as though we do not live under totalitarianism. We do. The end point for the totalitarian nihilists is destruction and anarchy, which is what I think they are attempting to achieve

Hey—thanks for your kind and thoughtful reply. I understand now, I think. It certainly is not politics as usual …hasn’t been for a long time, we’re realizing. The deceit and pure evil just doesn’t seem to bottom out. People are seeing it at different times & paces, though. I can’t fault them, unless it’s out of sheer arrogance or character. The cognitive dissonance Is deafening & no matter how much we knew coming into the last few years there was a world of learning to do. I dig. I read diggers. And it’s barely a dent. I’ve become a conspiracist.

I do owe you an apology. I had sent the previous response & then, reading yours, assumed that in your follow up to his, you were of his same mind — That you were seconding and further justifying what I took him to be saying — The 30-06 thing. In addition, my problem was his misusing scripture (ignotantly) to justify the use of violence! At least that’s what I thought he meant.

Last night I wrote you, but I somehow lost it (happens here sometimes) I wanted to say thanks & Sorry. I was preaching (lecturing) to the choir.

Democracy, as we know it should be, is in a coma. But it’s not dead yet and more and more people are seeing what has happened. That Totalitarianism — that Tyranny — is purposely inducing that coma. We the people must pull out the IV drip and rescue the poor, noble fellow. But we need to do it with that selfsame nobility. Govern ourselves prudently. It’s the only way. Wits, knowledge faith, hope and courage. Not itchy fingers. So that’s why I was so hasty and (stupidly) pedantic with my reply to you. (It did help me sort out some thoughts to myself, though.) again, forgive me.

——

I would like to say that I think it’s way beyond mere totalitarian tyranny. It’s layers of tyranny, realms of tyranny, well beyond politics or governance.

The tyranny has so permeated & infused our psyches, our behavior, our thinking that we live and breath it. It’s our element. We swim in it and breath it like fish in a bowl. It’s this tyranny, not just in opposition to freedom and democracy but in opposition to all that’s good and true and beautiful.

This is what we’re up against. And, in part it is ourselves. We wait on God because He is ultimately the only wise one. It is a spiritual war we’re in, having many fronts — the tyranny of nations or leaders & the criminal system they devise, are but a part of the tyranny we face and have faced unknowingly and which we cannot escape without that Sovereign God who IS there.

By the way, I hope this is welcome. Feel free to ignore it! (Are you in Australia? )

Thanks so much. You do indeed live in a blessed land. Australia and the US and the world will be reborn as sovereign, good and free peoples. I believe it. I listen to the Riccardo Bosi Reports (Australia 1), & though I’m skeptical about much of what he says, what actually comports with what I’m seeing here I do believe. What are your thought on him and that movement? (Life seems to be a constant effort to discern fact from fiction!) What has made the US the toughest nut is our constitution which, while being stretched to the breaking point is holding together yet. The 1st and especially the 2nd amendments have had the most protective power against those criminals. Aussies are a slow to anger bunch. But like us, a sleeping giant only needing the truth to rouse it (and perhaps not a little hardship attached to those truths revealed. Hang in there friend. And Godspeed.

AusYank's avatar

Thank you brother, Bosi is viewed very sceptically by most of the freedom movement here, he speaks many truths but his following is tiny and his solutions are non-starters. The radical left currently has a stranglehold on the nation and the opposition Liberal party, which is steeped in conservative values, has been taken over by the expediency crowd, wishing that is they are just center left then that will work. Anyway it will be a long fight back but I'm on it 24/7, Godspeed to you too

Patrick Lancaster reported on-scene in Rostov and covered the so-called "Civil War". (celebrating in the street) Patrick got a comment from Prigozhin through the Jeep window. Most Russians appeared demonstrably proud of the Wagners. This video tells the real story - https://youtu.be/7qvFQJEyjwA

Hullo. Try watching again without expanding and the subtitles will be there. It’s harder to go back to an earlier scene & awkward, but you need to get what the people are saying! They love their country, love Wagner/ Prigozhin and love and trust Putin; they love and trust God above all, it seems. They seem to have had confidence throughout that reason would prevail and there would be a peaceful outcome.
