Yes! I was using LC-65 made by Allergen and it contained thimerosal.
LC-65 was used to clean hard contact lenses and the solution would be washed off. So, the nasties remained on the lenses even after running them under water.
I had been using it for years and then I developed a reaction - extreme photo sensitivity.
Exactly! It was used a preservative in soft and hard contact lens solution. It was also in vaccines... Thimersol is a mercury derivative, if I remember correctly.
Thimersol. They used it in contact lens solution back in the 70's. Caused lots of allergic responses. Finally had to take it out...

I worked in contact lenses back in the day. We saw some terrible problems. I remember LC-65. I remember the issues. Ugh!
I had been using the solution for years...then developed that horrible reaction.
We were a major contact lens research center. Sadly, most dispensers of contact lenses didn't make the connection... for years.
Probably because of the delay in using the product and developing symptoms.
I was told by a nurse that Thimerosal is a preservative! It was in my son’s allergy shots & caused burning sensations after his shots. Horrible
