I think their FAQ is interesting, and I'm glad they believe in just two sexes.
I wish they'd take a stance against gay couples adopting children. That should not be allowed. All efforts should be to adopt kids to couples that include a mom and a dad.

I agree in theory, but so many children are exploited in the foster system. I have two male gay friends who are married and adopted a special needs child years ago. They have raised a very healthy, heterosexual son who probably would not be attending college today and embarking on a successful adult life otherwise. It’s a tough call, but I also see your point. What we need is common-sense social workers who do the job of making sure adopted children are placed in loving homes that won’t further exploit them.
I've known several of these scenarios where stable gay couples give loving and beneficial homes to children who otherwise would be homeless, loveless, and parentless. It's crazy to me that anyone would want to deny that chance to a child just because of parental sexual preference. A minority of gay people are the freaks in these pride parades. And there are also plenty of straight couples that abuse the kids in their care. Like you say, let's focus on making sure social workers are competent enough to discern loving homes from abusive homes without arbitrary rules about demographics.
It is true, there are horrendous straight homes and adoption and or foster parents, yet there are very important reasons a child needs both a healthy male and healthy female tudorship, family, and example. It is that both, when spiritualy mature, inspire ecellent examples of different qualities that ALL need to learn to emulate, for a healthy culture. There is a reason the family structure is male and female. Humans did not create themselves, and a child can best learn disparate good qualities from a father and a mother, and a healthy culture accepts the wisdom from nature, directed by the Divine.
I agree as well, David, with your points; however the world is not as it should be and children do need living guidance, wherever it may be provided. Prayers for humanity’s return to God.
I don't necessarily disagree in theory, but to deny a child a stable home AT ALL rather than one you may see as less than ideal is certainly not the answer.
A "minimum" would be ensuring that a child has a safe and loving home and family, regardless of the sexual orientation of the parents. We live in a world that is very far from ideal, and unless the gay-adoption critics are willing to start taking in kids themselves, then it would behoove us to take any stable couple up on their willingness to provide a home and a family where before there was none.
I know a lesbian couple (very well-off professionals) who adopted two black babies whose mothers were crack addicts. These kids are now approaching 20, have attended the finest private schools in their area, and are doing very well indeed. So it can work.
