We had our local appliance repair guy switch to a different business. He told us to start treating our major appliances like disposable items-buy the cheapest that works. He said that not only are they crap but the supply lines for parts have disappeared. Who can go without a washing machine for 3 months waiting for a replacement part? Just-in-time supply systems have failed as many predicted.

Just had an lg experience. Bought two really nice units used, not long ago, and the dryer control board crapped out. It’s about eight years old. Lg wanted 240 dollars for a new one. A simple cheap ass board that cost 12 bucks to make. And that’s me replacing it, as I was a kitchen aide tech for about eight years. Back then, they were built to be repaired forever. Now? Naw.

Supply lines. SUPPLY LINES.
Nobody gets it.
"You can rent everything! You'll have nothing, and be 'happy.'"

I have a speed queen washer and dryer. I’m happy. And it has a seven year warranty. Made in America.
