I spoke with a black owned furniture store owner in prime downtown on Fayetteville Street in Raleigh shortly after the George Floyd riots. He explained that this had been a family owned business for over 100 years and thriving. The rioters started the building on fire and when trucks came to put it out, they soaked it from the 3rd floor ruining everything to include the bottom level. This was a very large store and ample beautiful inventory that they were now selling for dollars on the thousands. He explained that they were being forced out and filed for bankruptcy. The real reason is the bank could recoup this building on prime Fayetteville street for pennies on the dollar. That building still stands empty with plywood covering the windows and LQBTQ+++ graffiti adorning it! There is much more than just turning these purposely destroyed buildings into rentals, there is a more sinister act at play!
They have moved the homeless into every downtown area in the cities so many are forced to close their doors for the sheer nastiness! They also file bankruptcy to go along with the plan of the banks recouping the property at pennies on the dollar and then resell! It's a crying shame! Redistribution of wealth!
Oakland, CA: In n Out closing their first location ever, and Kaiser telling folks not to go to local businesses for lunch or after work because of the crime. This is purposeful folks.

I agree Fred....part of the agenda that will never come to pass!
"Good thing the Banks were backstopped by the government because we cannot accept systemic risk, though. Amirite?"
