My husband says he thinks the plan was always for the shot to do us some damage and thin the herd, but where the mistake came in was the shot was an utter disaster in terms of stopping the spread of covid. If it had actually done that, the uptake would be far greater. And the trust going forward for future shots would be there - almost everyone would be on board.
