I would expect that for His remnant . . . we're also told that eventually the One who restrains will stop restraining. If it's His Spirit, we may see the world no longer convicted of sin, righteousness, and judgement.
I’m thinking, it’s not just a mighty work in believers — the remnant — most of whom are poorly served by the shepherds, but a great turning of hearts everywhere to the only Way, Truth, and Life, by His Spirit.
It sure seems to me that the powers and principalities forever at battle against us and God are in their last desperate, pull-out-all -he-stops, damn-the-torpedos final blitz. With everything they have. Like at the end of orchestrated fireworks when every last explosive in the box are chaotically set off all at once.
And because they’re demented and denied to themselves the utter death blow they already received, now they’re not even bothering to hide what they’re doing anymore; they still confidently and in utter delusion trust their ever chaotic plan. But we know that the gates of Hell will not prevail against Christ’s Church, with Christ our champion. Gates are shut against an encroaching, besieging force. They’re toast, lobbing the last of their arsenal willy-nilly over the wall.
I know we live in expectation of Jesus’ imminent return. (In truth, He never really left, only bodily.). I believe He comes, again in His glorified flesh tho’, accompanied by that great cloud of witnesses and garbed for battle, for storming the gates — to remove them; not us, His children. They, the evil ones, are those who will be taken out; we are the ones who will remain. I think the dispensationalist, left behind teaching interprets scripture exactly backwards. I might be wrong, of course — we’ll definitely find out. But I do know that the modern state of Israel was contrived and established by the very cabal we battle today. And that many the world over are calling on God in Christ every day, prompted by His Holy Spirit, working in them. He loves us so.
And His precious lambs today?
Ours is but to believe and obey His Holy Word, put on the armor of God, speak truth, stand fast in Him and fear not. He will come.
Thanks Tom. I have a response, and likely a long discussion would ensue. And since we both have one hope — in Christ alone — whatever differences we can bandy about will be revealed as moot soon enough.
I have a sort of mental flow chart with many possibilities to look out for.
Feast of Trumpets and the Days of Awe may prove very telling. I'm very leery of folks who are certain about what they think will happen.
I will not be surprised to see anything from a large scale event to a massive increase in depravity.
In any case, I'm just passing through. Meanwhile, there's work to do.
How’s about a mighty work of the Holy Spirit of God in the hearts of many?

Raise your head high, your redemption draws near, brother!
Maranatha!
Amen!
Head high before all but our Holy God.
I do think that the government of Israel is like any other today.
However, the Jewish people do belong in Israel. God keeps his word.
Remember that the church is the wild olive branch grafted in to cultivated tree.

Peace, brother!
