But you, beloved, ought to remember the words that were spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, that they were saying to you, β€œIn the last time there will be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts.” These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.

β€” Jude 17-21 NASB1995

Janice I wanted to continue with the last part of Jude because it is our hope, and we need hope very badly right now

"To HIM who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence with out fail and with great joy. To the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.πŸ™πŸ»

Update from a 4th campus:

Beck A. Taylor, president of Samford University, emailed students Friday, thanking God for the revival. The revival at Reid Chapel on the Samford campus had been going on for 48 continuous hours as of Friday morning, he said.

Samford is located about 400 miles from Asbury's Wilmore, Ky., campus.

"This is spontaneous, organic, student-led worship," Taylor wrote. "Having spent some time yesterday with those worshipping in Reid Chapel, I can testify that the Holy Spirit is at work in and among our student body. What's happening isn't contrived, programmed, or scripted. Nor is it performative or disingenuous. Students and others see it as an opportunity for the Samford campus to find unity in Christ, to encourage one another to faithfulness, and to extend the love and grace of Jesus to everyone."

Taylor urged students to "resist the temptation to label what's happening, or to put it into some kind of a neat box."

"I'm convinced that God is doing a new thing here, and all we're asked to do is to remain faithful to God's calling," Taylor wrote. "Our theme this year is HOPE. Our hope can be found in the person and work of Jesus Christ. As we worship Jesus today, let's allow hope to abound in us so that we can spread God's hope throughout this campus and the world."

Hi Janice! Best to you always!

The only Supreme Ruler worth a hoot is the Sovereign God! This our times and our distress manifests as a self-evident truth beyond question.

To call God an "expert" would be a insult based on the "experts" we have seen these last years.

I just wanted to share a video I saw on Not The Bee about Reverend Calvin Robinson in the UK who is trying to save the soul of the Church of England. He said it the best way I have ever heard about the woke agenda and LGBT and why we must turn away and pray and not embrace and coddle sin. It was a beautiful speech.

Pastors who tickle the ears of their flocks rather than equipping the saints for what’s to come will be held accountable.

A pastor once told me β€œmore accountable” bc of all the people they influence.

Teachers are held to a higher standard, and I think this applies in all facets of life. That's why I am more disappointed say with a doctor than I am an artist on the Covid stuff. But on some front we all bear a weight on responsibility. The old to the young. The wise to the foolish. We too need to be held to account.

I second Janice’s words below. There are consequences for living in our fallen, broken world. Tragedies have been occurring since the beginning of time and will until Jesus returns to rule again. Trust God; He sees all; He knows all; he sacrificed His Son to make a path for us to live for eternity with Him. He has a perfect plan for His people.

I think of this passage from Romans...and console myself with the fact that sin causes tragedy in this fallen world...creation is also fallen, but someday there will be a new heaven and new earth, no more tears, or crying or pain...(Revelation 21)

For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. --Romans 8:19-22 NASB1995
