Mine was closed for a year. I haven’t been back because of the speed they caved in—all my local churches did— but I’m getting leadings to return and someone called me Saturday and encouraged me to come back. I believe I will. Christ totally got me through some terrible times in 2021. It was clear to me He opened my eyes to this satanic plan in our faces. It was very shocking and marooned me politically and led me back because God was ALL I had. I’m ready to return now. Finally. I need these people and they need me. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Perhaps this person who called me needs to see that God is working and is using her.
I kept away from church for over 2 years for the same reasons. We finally just had to dump our old church and go looking for a new one. The realization that we couldn’t return was the hardest part. While we are happy in our new church, the sadness of leaving a church I had been connected to for over 50 years was devastating. Recently went to the doc for blood work and yearly checkup. She kept asking me about being sad. Tried several times to prescribe antidepressants and gave me a phone number for a therapist. She didn’t realize the depth of sadness from the past few years. Plus the realization that now I need to find a new doctor to replace her. She was wearing a “pronoun pin” and a rainbow watch band. Oh yea- she also highly recommended a Covid shot and taetnus shot.
I’m sorry. But glad you found another congregation. We lost so many young families that used to attend. Only 3 in Sunday school now. Plus they replaced our beloved pastor during the end of lockdown with a newby that wasn’t even from our denomination. I think that was a rotten act by the district “leaders”. Feels like seminary sermons now( I still attend a womens group that goes over the sermons). I’m returning now to see what God wants me to do. Bless you.
See if your records diagnose you as vaccine hesitant and the reason. If the reason is depression that tags you as a potential danger to the community even if you don’t have her as a doc. The records follow you.
