More importantly, it wouldn't be picked apart by God. I'm sure He was not pleased by people invoking His name to get an exemption who hadn't actually worshipped Him in yea…

Regarding reconnecting with faith, it happened to me on a business trip after neglecting my faith (and my kids faith unfortunately) for about a decade. About seven years ago I was on a business trip that happened to be to the area where I committed my life to Christ back in the 90's. It was Wednesday night and I was sitting in the hotel room and suddenly felt compelled to attend that same church's mid-week service. Within seconds of worship starting I felt a level of peace and comfort that I had lost and long forgotten.
It surprised me but I immediately knew I had to be back in church regularly. It also surprised me that when I came home and told my wife and kids that I wanted to start going to church they said "sure" with no arguing and we've been attending ever since. God had been working on their hearts too apparently.
Ok. Jeff Childers made me laugh and cry at the same time.
Now I am crying again. Oh, the joy that comes when we turn back and find that He never moved.......that He was waiting for us to turn our faces back to Him!!!
