I went to the doctor recently at the local large corporate medical office. As usual the check in secretary told me to put on a mask. Usually I take one, say thank you with as much goodness as I can, and then squoosh it in my pocket or in the trash. Occasionally I have just said, "I'm not doing that." Depends on the mood. Usually I take one, say thank you with as much goodness as I can, and then squoosh it in my pocket or in the trash. Occasionally I have just said, "I'm not doing that." Depends on the mood. This time I looked at the indicated box of masks and probably there was a unintentional visible look of disgust on my face, and the secretary said, irritatedly, "oh never mind!" That same week they officially dropped their patient mask requirement. Patients have been doing their business for quite some time without masks, as long as they can persist past an admonition or two. I have never had a doctor remonstrate me for not wearing a mask, nor behave in a way that I perceive as negative. I wish to ask what they think, though I imagine it is not an easy question to expect them to answer candidly.
I have had Drs and nurses treat me as filthy when i was the healthy one with my elderly mother who was also not ill!! But i refused to mask. Masked Drs who wouldn't touch my mom's knee!! Who refuse to take off the face diaper because "i have addition autoimmune compromised ppl at home". What?? Do they never wash?!
Maddening isn’t it. I went to an ophthalmologist in the city who asked me if I was vaxxed. When I said no it was like a rush of cold arctic air had just entered in. I almost got frostbite! When the exam ended and I left I don’t know who was happier. She was double masked, face shielded and wore gloves and even then kept wiping things off with some kind of solution. Imagine living like that!

She'll die before you will, I'd bet on it.
