Putin doesn't want just the 20%. He wants all of Ukraine and the fact Ukraine is existing largely intact. His essay "On the historical unity of Russia and Ukraine" doesn't focus on just the east or crimea it focuses on the entirety of Ukraine.

No, there isn't 10k Ukrainians who have surrendered Recently.
70k dead in the current offensive? That's the entire attacking force in the south almost 3x over. And remember Russia claims to have destroyed Abrams tanks well before they were even delivered along with bradleys and every Himars x2...but every one is still accounted for and firing.
The Kinzhal is capable of being shot down by the patriot missile system which is why Poland just ordered 6 more batteries. Ukraine has shown the system works while the Russian system is not as effective. 3 weeks ago before the strikes on Sevastopol Ukraine destroyed 2 S400 batteries and a Predel-E system in Crimea via Himars, Commando, and Neptune strikes. That's a shaping operation because the next week they hit the Black sea fleet headquarters and then destroyed a 300 million dollar submarine, a landing ship, and a dry dock in the most defended part of the occupied territories with planes that were allegedly destroyed and cruise missiles that were shot down.
Hypersonic weapons are a hype. Stealth is where it's at. While Russia has shot down some of the Scalp and Storm shadow missiles most of them get through and are demilitarized by the brave Russian black sea fleet :)
