CBS News reports more than 200 Republicans who worked for former President George H.W. Bush, former President George W. Bush, Sen. John McCain and Sen. Mitt Romney endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, saying democracy would be "irreparably jeopardized" by another Trump administration.

And we wonder why the GOP can't win. It's because all of our leaders are actually Democrats who pretend to be Republican then do whatever the Democrats want. If the Trump era has shown us anything it's that the ruling elite are all the same no matter which party they belong to.

Meanwhile, two former presidential candidates who are Democrats have endorsed Trump.

We're living in a topsy-turvy world.

I once got to see retribution in this life. It was 2 military men who acted as if they were better than we were. Turns out they actually believed it, too. Because of that, they made some REALLY stupid decisions. They were both sent to Leavenworth for 20+ years. It was glorious to watch!

I was particularly active as a war protester back when the DNC wasat least mouthing sanity at that time. I put signs in my yard with US soldiers dead and regularly updated because it had to be updated often. Went to a big DC March. On retrospect didn’t do a damn bit of good.

The Republican/Democrat divide is false, as is the Conservative/Liberal divide. The true divide is insiders (ruling class/uniparty/useful idiots) vs. outsiders (everyone else). Just saw a photo from a few years back of GWB, Obama, Clinton, Bush Sr. and their spouses all happily smiling together. Yet none of them would/will do that with Trump despite the fact he's politically a pretty moderate Republican. He's an outsider who cannot be controlled, so he's persona non grata.

These staffers are Uniparty insiders as is most of the GOP leadership. Trump, RFK Jr, Tulsi, and a small group of GOP politicians (such as Hawley and Ron Johnson) are outsiders.

Factoid: Obama, Clinton, Bushes are all distant cousins. They and all but a handful of US presidents are of the maternal line from King John of England, 13c signer of the Magna Carta, later nicknamed John Lackland since he was so good at losing lands in warfare and lawfare. (They do have a sense of humor those Brits.) Oh yes. Note not all are necessarily legitimate (my failure, haven't done all that homework for final verification) as John had many mistresses/concubines. Raise any questions? Final note: I suspect any number of Americans could find themselves in Lackland's family tree because at this point there are likely millions... Billions?

Correct, there aren't. I should have made the extrapolation to planetwide more clear. My error. That said, since the noted extrapolation could conceivably be made on one's own given the context of the totality of "family tree," I find it interesting that this relatively insignificant blooper is what you took away from the comment.

It's not ALL I took away from the comment.

I guess how I feel about the comment is we're ALL related if you go back far enough. My grandfather traced his lineage back to French kings several hundred years ago - I don't feel any semblance of royalty flowing in my veins.

So to your comment "raise any questions?", I reply no. What happens in one's lineage is much less important than how one conducts oneself in the present. Historically interesting or not, we all have scallywags in our family tree; we choose whether or not to emulate them every minute of our lives.

Or do you think I'm missing some other important point here?

CBS news, first off. Second: note 200 former workers for all these war criminals. Not one actual name given. Does anyone really care? The neocons have used this trick for years. It won’t sway one Trump supporter, but it does make it seem that Trump is constantly losing support. Keep the polls close, then the cheating seems real.

Yea, I would bet money there aren't "200 people" and it's the left's attempt to combat the few democrats (now independents) that are endorsing Trump. The "200" people claim reminds me of the 50+ intelligence agency folks who signed the Russia disinformation letter except this time, they're not making the same mistake of naming anyone.

So I did some digging.

This is the actual letter https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/25071901-bush-mccain-and-romney-alumni-for-harris-statement. This group wrote a similar letter in 2020 in support of Biden.

I pulled one name at random from the the list of signatories. Nicole J. Churna.

This is her X account profile. https://x.com/njlc

She is all-in on the climate change hoax, she objected to overturning Roe v Wade, she is a deep state supporter.
