Jeff, what do you make of the tidbit about Walensky never having been officially appointed as the CDC director but rather merely being a senior advisor?

I don’t remember which substack included a list of folks who were never swore in properly. It was an impressive list. I asked at that time if any action that they took was legal or authorized, even if they were properly processed by last week or last month.
Perhaps only obliquely on-topic. I was watching Youtube videos of one my all-time favorite bands, XTC, and I came across this one for Books Are Burning. Andy Partridge is brilliant and the lyrics seem to align with your overall theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bh8bDjQg84

“‘In most cases, pandemics truly end when the next pandemic begins. I know that’s a terrible thought but that is the history of pandemics’”
Do any of these people have a memory that stretches back before 2020? Here’s a little primer for those who appear to have BC amnesia:

I remember when I went to visit my newly born granddaughter I wasn't allowed to touch her, kiss her, smell her...
