I get that but it’s kind of irritating to me to have to look at everything I wear and check that there isn’t some kind of unwanted symbolism there 🙄 Like now anything that has a rainbow I have to avoid.

Funny how evil always makes a cheap imitation of God's perfect signs. The rainbow is a perfect example.
I read Romans 1 starting at about v18 and fully believe are long since there, but I guess the cup of iniquity isn't full just yet. Although that video from Allie Beth Stuckey yesterday surely makes me belive we are close!
Wear what you like RL. To the glory of God should someone ask.
It just occurred to me that a potential response to someone mistakenly congratulating you on your loud and proud rainbow garb could be "The rainbow is God's glorious symbol to man which shows his mercy, faithfulness and love for them in that he would not bring an annihilating flood to the earth again. You can count on it so rest easy about floods from global warming! What does your rainbow mean?"
It irritates me too. The swastika means peace in another part of the world, but I could never wear one knowing that it will trigger everyone instantly. The rainbow is also so overtaken. I personally think the spiral is not associated with, say, pedophilia except in certain circles. I like the spiral. I like to see spirals my garden, in the bathtub.... I feel good about the spiral, but, in certain contexts now it could feel creepy. We use symbols all of the time, even metaphors and figures of language, colors. I do resent symbolic inversions, where things that should be positive are imbued with a different meaning. I don't want to have to concede that the shared meaning of something overwhelms my ability to use it.
Ok, someone posted a wiki link to pedophile symbols. The pedo spirals are blue, thank goodness. I think I purchased a pair of silver spiral earrings at Kohl’s years ago. I thought they were pretty and kind of nice for summer or beach wear. It’s disturbing what’s happening.

Good way of framing it ❤️

Same here. I don't want to let crazy people take over all the lovely symbols
