Yes, one of my son's history teachers (they both had different teachers as he was in regular classes while she was mostly in advanced, except in math) was also a counselor at the Boy Scout camp he attended and later worked at in the summers and got to know him well. He ended up leaving the district my son's senior year due to what he called too much liberal infiltration, and he said most teachers just keep their mouths shut about politics in the teacher's lounge, if they were conservatives. Should have been a red flag, but I again assumed (wrongly) that most of that was not creeping into the curriculum.
