Even here, though, the public schools don’t let parents into the classrooms. And some of my private violin students go to charter schools and private schools where they are taught from a very liberal perspective. Twenty years ago, a group of parents started a Christian classical education school because they didn’t feel comfortable just handing their kids over and having the door closed in their faces. I now teach music there and it is wonderful. Waiting list in the hundreds.
