I was an ER nurse for decades, and we tested for flu all the time. Influenza A and B.
We also tested for RSV in sick infants. We didn't have to test older people for RSV since 98% of Americans have had RSV by the time they're 2 years old.
But RSV is one of the causes of the common cold. Mostly colds are caused by rhinoviruses, but also corona viruses and others. I don't know if there are tests for those, since we never tested, because most colds are self-limiting and not lethal.
What is called isolation by virologists is not isolation, separating one thing from all others. Taking a culture of mixed genetic materials, adding antibiotics(that kill monkey kidney cells) and other toxins to the mix and calling that isolation is fraud as is taking that same soup and sequencing it. I was an ER nurse for decades, and we tested for flu all the time. Influenza A and B.
We also tested for RSV in sick infants. We didn't have to test older people for RSV since 98% of Americans have had RSV by the time they're 2 years old.
But RSV is one of the causes of the common cold. Mostly colds are caused by rhinoviruses, but also corona viruses and others. I don't know if there are tests for those, since we never tested, because most colds are self-limiting and not lethal.

What is called isolation by virologists is not isolation, separating one thing from all others. Taking a culture of mixed genetic materials, adding antibiotics(that kill monkey kidney cells) and other toxins to the mix and calling that isolation is fraud as is taking that same soup and sequencing it. The reason they find so many "variants" of covid is because every single time you sequence the fluid from another person without first isolating any virus, you are sequencing a new mix of genetic materials. I guess that's why I quit caring about any of these phony awards ceremonies a long time ago. I was in Cleveland on a business trip about 15 years ago and found some time to visit the Rock n Roll hall of fame. Hubby and I have been rock fans since we saved our allowances to buy record albums in elementary school in the 70's, and we go to live shows often. Yet a good number of people featured I had never even heard of and there were many snubbed that should have been there.
